At COES, we are committed to creating a sustainable future for our people, planet and environment.
To do this, we are continuously working with our suppliers to buy better, recycle more and utilise feasibly, sustainable strategies to ensure that necessary changes are being made to reduce our environmental footprint.
As a small, independent retailer we feel we have a responsibility to advocate sustainable fashion practices across our stores. For this reason, we are delighted to have recently introduced plastic-free and reusable gift cards certified by the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council). Our cards, alongside our newly recyclable paper bags and internet packaging are a positive contribution towards discarding limited and single-use plastics. We feel that this change has allowed us to make a small but valuable contribution towards the global plastic pollution crisis, and further underpins our continued support for protecting our local forests.
Additionally, we offer a clothing-rental service consisting of premium quality formal wear at affordable prices to help our customers not only experiment with different styles, while also working towards striving for an eco-friendlier future that minimises waste.
Additionally, many of our brands embrace ethical fashion through the utilisation of organic and cruelty-free materials as well as concerning themselves with fair treatment of workers, which we fully support.
We realise that we have a long way to go, but no matter how big or small the change, we will continue to work alongside our brands and look at all our internal processes to help tackle the challenge of environmental degradation and climate change. We will continue to inform and encourage our customers to do the same.
