Custom Suits in Ipswich: Create Your Own personalised Look at Coes

Finding a suit that fits perfectly can be a challenge, and finding one that expresses your individual style is even harder.

At Coes Ipswich, our custom suit service is designed to address both of these issues.

Whether you are preparing for a wedding in Suffolk, a day at the Newmarket Races, or simply want to invest in a high-quality business suit, we can help you design a garment from the ground up.

Customising your suit at Coes allows you to add personality and precision to your chosen look. Here is our simple 5-step process to create a suit that is uniquely yours:

1. Choose Your Fabrics

The foundation of any great suit is the cloth. We offer an extensive collection of over 120 fabrics from Etch, ensuring your suit is perfectly suited to its purpose. The process begins by identifying exactly when and where the suit will be worn so we can pick the correct fabric for the occasion:

For Winter Weddings: We look at heavier weights and structured cloths like flannels to keep you warm and sharp.

For Summer at the Races: We explore breathable, lightweight linens and cool wool blends.

For Everyday Investment: We offer technical, crease-resistant, and stretch blends that are perfect for travel and durability.

2. Personalise Your Linings and Trims

This is where your personality really comes through. Unlike off-the-rack options, you can pick from a wide range of expressive linings, allowing you to add a flash of colour or a unique pattern to the interior of your jacket. You can also customise your buttonhole threads to make the craftsmanship truly stand out.

3. Customise the Finer Details

Express your personality through your choice of trims and buttons, and add a personal touch with custom embroidery. Including your initials or a significant date beneath the collar ensures that the piece is truly unique.

4. Refine the Styling

Next, we move on to styling, where you define the look of your suit. Guided by both your fit preferences and personal taste, you can choose specific details for the suit's design.

The Jacket: Choose between single-breasted or double-breasted styles.

Three-Piece or Two-Piece: Decide if you want to include a waistcoat.

The Details: Customise the lapel width, pocket styles, and vents to create a look tailored to your preferences.

5. Crafting Your Final Look

Once your design is finalised and measurements are taken, all the details are sent off to our suppliers ETCH.

It takes approximately six weeks for your suit to be made. Once it arrives back at Coes Ipswich, you will need to come back to the store to try it on. We ensure that the fit is sharp, comfortable, and perfectly suited to your shape. After that, the suit is yours!

Why Choose Custom Tailoring at Coes Ipswich?

A custom suit provides a level of confidence that ready-made sizes simply cannot match.

By choosing your own fabric, lining, and cut, you ensure your suit is personalised for any occasion or event.
