How do the instalments work?

  • Clearpay splits the cost of your order into 4 instalments over 6 weeks, due every 2 weeks. The exact dates and amounts due will be displayed for you to agree before you place your order.
  • The first of the 4 instalments will need to be paid at the time of purchase.
  • Instalments 2, 3 and 4 will automatically be collected from your debit or credit card every 2 weeks.
  • You'll receive a reminder from Clearpay 2 days before each instalment is collected.
  • You'll be able to make early payments in your Clearpay account. Clearpay will then adjust the amount owed.

Returning an order paid with Clearpay

  • Once we have processed your return in our usual way, Clearpay will be notified of the refund amount. Clearpay will then make the adjustment to your payment schedule.

What happens if a payment is missed or late?

  • Orders less than £24: Clearpay may charge a £6 late fee for each late instalment.
  • Orders £24 and over: Clearpay may charge a £6 late fee for each late instalment and a second late fee of £6 if the instalment is still unpaid 7 days after the due date. Late fees are capped at £24 or 25% (whichever is less) of the purchase price of the order.
  • Clearpay will contact you to let you know that you have missed a payment and give options for how the payment can be made.
  • If Clearpay is unable to collect any amounts owed to them, they may use a debt collection agency to recover the amount owed.
